The saving of the Nestroyhof as a Jewish Theatre is not only a responsibility of Jews who are struggling to develop their cultural identity and their cultural heritage in Austria. It is the responsibility of every person who is aware of the tragedy of the Jews of Vienna during the Second World War and wants to strengthen the struggle against fascism in Europe today. The saving of the Nestroyhof as a Jewish Theatre is a strong statement that European society denounces the fascist regimes which ruled Austria and Germany in the 30´′s and 40´s and does not allow their heirs to exploit Jewish cultural and artistic sites for their private benefit.
