I am not going to urge the restoration of the Nestroyhof on artistic, cultural or historic grounds. Many others before me have already written eloquently on that score. I will just say this... As a Jewish-American writer, performer and potential tourist to Austria, I promise that if this theater and cultural center is re-established, I will visit Vienna to see it and I will spend money and I will encourage many others to do the same.Quite simply, this is a good idea. Do it.
