This letter serves to support Warren Rosenzweig´s efforts to preserve and perpetuate the Nestroyhof Theatre. I first became acquainted with Mr. Rosenzweig and the Jewish Theatre of Austria when I participated at an international conference on Jewish theatre in Washington last year. There he demonstrated that he is capable of successfully producing important quality Jewish theatre by all international standards - and against great odds and obstacles. I was very touched to learn about the discovery of the Nestroyhof. It seems almost like a miracle. I believe it imperative to renovate and restore this theatre in light of the lessons of history that it teaches from the past. The affirmation in rekindling this landmark and making it a living breathing cultural centre for today will promise to spiritually enrich both local Austrians as well as tourists in the future. I urge you to support Mr. Rosenzweig and help bring his efforts to fruition.
