Ines Hochgerner Portrait Nr. 1 Over the course of time, Sigmund Freud′s couch has become an important figure in the psychology. It represents, among other things, numerous sessions in which Freud studied the subconscious motive forces of his patients’ minds. In the placement of the couch at the Freud Museum in London, the focus on modern obsession with the piece of furniture is shown. The omission of the carpet gives a probable view of the tracks left by some of Freud’s patients throughout the years. Kathrin Meurer Mies’ Bohnen An icon of modern architecture, The Barcelona Pavilion was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the Barcelona World Exposition in 1929. At that time, the pavilion symbolized the idea of progress in Germany. Now it is here, as a miniature, which is overgrown with plants. Vines and beans overwhelm the structure and create a discord between the interior and exterior. Originally there was a distinct separation between the interior and exterior of the building, but now the exterior is pushing into the building looking for ways to overgrow and defeat, then ultimately destroy it. Growth meets architecture. Movement meets a standstill. Order meets chaos. Markus Proschek 8TT8 Weininger′s Balls: Otto mirrors Otto; Otto the black night versus the OTTO Double Eight. The fatal breakdown is progressive and reactionary. Sex and Character. It is the end. Haim Sokol Rein (Clean) - Vienna is very clean. It is so clean, unbelievable. Much cleaner than Moscow. - Really? There are many people who will disagree with you. They think Vienna is messy... Christoph Srb Frau Krise und Herr Final The starting point for this work was my interest in film, my love of emotionalism, quotes from various movies, and personal notes and observations. For me this film is very personal, the quotations from films by Bergman, Fassbinder, Cassavetes combined with my own observations as well as a seemingly random juxtaposition of the scenes shows a break in the narration. Filmed on location in Prague. Reinhold Zisser Six Lightbox Frames In the series "Lightbox frames" Reinhold Zisser shows a sequence of large format glass plate negatives from the late twenties. Classic picture frames with mounted light boxes have been converted to fit the original negatives that are shown. The exact origins and circumstances of both of these negatives are still unknown. |
