Sergei Bolotny (violin) was born in Tschernowitz to a renown Ukrainian family of singers. The recipient of numerous awards from international competitions in Austria, Japan, Hungary, Usbekistan, and Italy, he has performed with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna State Opera, and Vienna′s Volksoper. Since 2010, he is the 2nd Concert Master for the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and is Artistic Director, since 2003, of the renown klezmer ensemble "Klezmatov", which he co-founded in Vienna in 2001. An artistic contributor to the Jewish Theater of Austria′s 2002 solo performance festival, "ohne Begleitung", Sergei Bolotny returns to Vienna on December 22 to celebrate the holiday spirit in the intimacy and comfort of The Window, Vienna′s most transparent venue! Keiko Sakuma (piano) was born in Tokyo, where she began her music studies as a young child. In the 2004, she won first prize in a national competion for duo performance in Japan. In 2008, she completed her first university degree in Concert Piano at the famous Mozarteum of Salzburg, before continuing her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she was awarded her second university degree in Piano Chamber Music in 2009.
